Hyundai Motor Group just dropped some big news!
A whopping 10 models from Hyundai and Genesis snagged top honours at the 2025 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awards.
That's more than any other carmaker out there this year, making up 25% of all the awards handed out so far in 2025.
“Outstanding safety performance is core to the Hyundai Motor Group and our achievement in the 2025 IIHS awards, with the most stringent test criteria ever, underscores our unwavering commitment to customers and relentless engineering to deliver the highest level of safety for occupants and road users,” said Brian Latouf, President and Global Chief Safety and Quality Officer at Hyundai Motor Group. “These results affirm our dedication to safety leadership for 2025 and beyond.”
Hyundai Motor knocked it out of the park, each snagging five awards in a variety of price points and body styles.
This just goes to show how top-notch the safety standards are across the entire Hyundai line-up.
It's all part of the Group's big mission to give customers nothing but the best in safety and quality.

The Genesis G90 large luxury sedan was also recognized with a TSP award.
For 2025 the IIHS decided to shake things up with their TSP and TSP+ awards.
They're really focusing on keeping folks in the back seat safe, which means cars need to have some fancy seat belt tech and other cool safety features to score big.
They also made the testing tougher, raising the bar even higher than before. With all of these changes, only 48 models made the cut for this year's awards, compared to 71 last year.
